Creating High Quality Buildings, New Precast Concrete Regulation Implementation Rules Explained
April 15, 2024
Recently, the Urban-Rural Development Bureau, together with the Municipal Construction Engineering Quality Association, organised a professional training session on the Implementing Rules for Quality Management of Precast Concrete Component Production The training session attracted nearly 300 core members from supervisory organisations, contracting and supervisory units and precast component companies to learn and discuss the application of this new regulation.
The core of the Implementation Rules lies in the establishment of a clear line of management that separates the responsibilities of precast production, construction and supervision, as well as a standardised management process to ensure that the quality of production is effectively monitored. In addition, the rules cover seven major aspects of quality management, from site equipment to technicians, to raw materials and production inspection, with the aim of enforcing strict quality control at all stages of production.
For precast concrete components production units, this means that the implementation of the system of supervision in the factory, that is, by the construction and supervision units to appoint a representative to supervise the production site, in order to ensure the quality of the product. The URA will also increase its supervision and management efforts to promote the implementation of the Implementing Rules through continuous supervision and inspection, providing a solid foundation for quality construction.
